"Give Through Devotion" VIDEO!
This song from our new EP has a video made for it, using several different apps.
There is a video for two of the songs on the new EP, “Searching For Home”. One is for “You Need Love”, but there is another one. That video is for “Give Through Devotion” (and doesn’t this song fit THAT EP theme, right?). You can almost feel waves and the wind as we hear Ste Therese say, “The world is thy ship and not thy home”
I decided to embed it right here for you to watch.
How did I do this? Free apps. Free stuff. That was my required modus operandi for both the audio AND the video for this one I’m retired on Social Security, so that’s the name of that tune.
The visuals were actually pretty much done before all the audio recording got done. I could almost see the whole thing playing out before my eyes; I just had to figure out how to get it down in a usable, pleasing package.
I used Canva to find images or create some with AI. My wife helped me with the cover; she has a great sense for these things; I don’t! I shot video of myself playing guitar for the song. I then used Microsoft ClipChamp to create an audio base and put it all together. I applied techniques like movement, fades, filters, effects, funny text stuff and all sorts of things. It feels almost like getting an inspired song, putting these videos together. I think they communicate something vital that audio alone doesn’t.
I wanted to convey something for all of you watching. I wanted you to get the feeling that young men have today, both the awful, seemingly hopeless predicament, mired in selfishness, vice and moral cowardice, and The hope-filled Answer that Christ provides in His Body, the Church. These lost young men need to become selfless and holy, become the captain of their ship and give their lives for their family and faith; Jesus is the Way.
I decided to just post the video straight into the article above, but if you want to support us by watching it via clicking a link on Youtube? you can go here:
